What is a car loan?
When leasing or financing a new or used vehicle, a car loan allows you to pay off your vehicle in monthly payments instead of all at once. In exchange, you accept to pay interest on the loan each month to compensate for the lender’s services.
What are the available terms for a car loan?
Most car loans in Canada are structured with 12-month increments. New car loans average in between 36 to 72 months, while used car loans average between 36 and 48 months. At The Auto Providers, each plan is customized to fit your needs and takes your monthly budget into consideration.
Are short-term or long-term loans better?
A long-term loan means lower monthly payments, but a higher overall loan cost due to increased interest rates. A short-term loan means higher monthly payments, however the overall loan cost will be reduced based on lower interest. Every decision should be based on your unique situation while taking into considering your budget.

Our application form asks for your full name, date of birth, your location and financial circumstances. We DO NOT ask for your SIN number. This information is a requirement to get approved for a car loan.
Do I need a co-signer?
While in most cases a co-signer is not required, some situations do call for a guarantor. This will depends on the information we receive during the application process. There is no obligation to make a purchase when you find out your options, so it doesn’t hurt to try.
Do I have to do a credit check?
We do not require you to do a credit check upon applications. However, one will be required once you have selected your vehicle.
Do I need a downpayment?
We do not require a downpayment to get you qualified. In fact, most of our customers opt for $0 down options to suit their financial needs. A down payment will however decrease the amount you borrow and can shorten the term of your loan.
